IBE Task Force Begins Meetings



(Indianapolis, IN) -- A task force put together to address youth violence at Indiana Black Expo events has begun meeting. It became necessary after several shootings following a concert on July 16th. Reverend Charles Harrison is part of the task force and said the city needs to address its gang problem.

IBE officials aren't saying much about the task force at this time. Harrison said the next meeting for the group will be August 9th. He said several things like a new location, metal detectors and earlier hours are under consideration.

Reverend Charles Harrison was patrolling around the area of the July 16th shooting, and said he was just a few feet from one of the victims.

Harrison said several ideas are being discussed.
